Finding a diaper that works best for your baby can be a messy business. It’s got to fit right, feel right and, most of all, safely contain leaks and blowouts. To help you avoid some potentially messy trial and error, we enlisted our parent testers (and their babies!) to size up a range of diapers so we could recommend the best. Pampers Swaddlers earned a spot among our Today's Parent Approved diapers for their ease of use, snuggly feel, careful construction, wetness indicator and overall absorbency.
Pampers Swaddlers ranked high for absorbency, especially when it came to wicking moisture away from the skin. Most parents said they were happy with the amount of liquid the diapers held and would feel confident using them overnight. One parent noted that the “high waist and strong hold” made a big difference and added to the quality. For the few parents who did experience a leak, most said it was very light and the diaper held most of the wetness. One parent called the ample ruffles along the leg cuff a “game changer” for minimizing leaks.
Parent testers also reported that their infants seemed very comfortable in the Pampers Swaddlers. The fasteners didn't leave red marks or rub their babies' delicate skin. Best of all, the diapers sat securely on infants, but there was enough flexibility around the waist and legs for bigger kids to get on with playing and growing. Another thing that parents loved about this diaper was that they're soft for babies’ bottoms (a number of testers noted that Swaddlers worked well for kids with sensitive skin).
When it came to changing diapers, parents loved the simplicity of the Pampers Swaddlers. Putting them on (at home or on the go), fastening the tabs, removing them and disposing of them was fuss-free, whether they had a tiny newborn or a squirming toddler with better things to do. In the Today's Parent Approved lab, our editors noted that Pampers Swaddlers diapers have strong, stretchy accordion-style tabs, which make it easy to secure them properly. Parents added that even if you had to adjust the tabs, they don't lose their stickiness, and the front of the diaper has a target that shows where to place the tabs—a plus when you’re sleep-deprived.
Another feature our editors and parents both appreciated was the wetness indicator, so you can instantly spot when your little one needs a change. Parents of newborns found this especially helpful when they were trying to count how often their infants were urinating. These diapers also have an umbilical cord notch that makes them especially ideal for newborns.
Given the overall high quality of Pampers Swaddlers and the fact they performed well under pressure, our parent testers felt that the diapers provided good value for their money and said they'd purchase them again.
Pampers Swaddlers are high-quality diapers that offer comfort, protection and great absorbency for a decent price. They’re available from preemie to size six, and fit all age groups equally well. Our editors and parent testers agreed that this diaper outperforms many other disposables because of the high back, strong tabs and superior fit. The wetness indicator is a huge plus, as well as the fact the diapers are soft and comfortable. With nearly all parent testers giving these diapers good or very good ratings for quality, ease of use and value, it’s easy to see why Pampers Swaddlers earned the Today’s Parent Approved seal.
