One key thing to take note of is zipper placement, for both safety and convenience in toddler sleeping bags. “Top zippers are generally safer as toddlers cannot reach them, while two-way zippers allow easy access for changing diapers or checking on the toddler,” Harris explains.

“Zipper guards prevent accidental opening.
