We're crazy in love with the cast of the The Lion King remake

First off, lemme just say: BEYONCÉ. IS. NALA.

There had been rumours of her being involved in the "live-action" remake of The Lion King, but this confirmation is everything.

Set to release on July 19, 2019, the new version of the beloved classic will be a CGI remake done in a similar realistic style as 2016's The Jungle Book—which makes sense since Jungle Book director Jon Favreau is heading the project.

Some of the cast had been announced over the last few months, but now that we know it all, here's a full breakdown:

Donald Glover will voice the main—or should we say mane?—lion, Simba and James Earl Jones is coming back to once again give his booming voice to Simba's father Mufasa, which is awesome because who could ever replace him? That's right, no one.

The queen bee Beyoncé will lend her beautiful pipes to Simba's childhood friend and queen-to-be Nala. (Hopefully the song "Shadowland" from the stage musical will be included in this film because Beyoncé. If you haven't heard it, go listen to it. NOW. If you have heard it, just imagine Beyoncé singing it. OMG.)

Chiwetel Ejiofor will play Simba's villainous uncle Scar, Alfre Woodard will voice Simba's regal mother Sarabi and John Oliver will play the king's high-strung hornbill advisor, Zazu. Timon and Pumbaa, Simba's two adopted dads (basically) who live their lives with no worries will get their voices from Billy Eichner and Seth Rogan respectively.

Young Simba will be played by JD McCrary, and Young Nala will be Shahadi Wright Joseph. Rounding out the cast are the trio of hyenas that act as Scar's lackeys: Florence Kasumba, Eric André, and Keegan-Michael Key.

We'll probably be as impatient waiting for summer of 2019 as little Simba is waiting to be king, but if this all-star cast is any indication, the wait will definitely be worth it.
