My baby is teething and is refusing food because of the pain. What can I do?
As long as your baby is drinking fluids, the reduced appetite is not a concern. It’s OK, and normal, for babies to eat a bit less during teething. Just keep offering food and your baby will feed again when the pain is gone.
Ibuprofen can reduce the inflammation and minimize the pain, and help your child start eating again. It's less common for babies to refuse liquids, but if yours does, see a doctor to ensure your child is well-hydrated.
